Jhapa. Petroleum products worth NPR 16.81 billion have been imported through the eastern Kakarbhitta border in the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2082-83, ending Chaitra.

According to Ishworekumar Humagain, Information Officer and Customs Officer at Mechi Customs Office, items including petrol, diesel, LPG gas, ATF, and coal have been imported during that period. He informed that NPR 7.44 billion in revenue has been collected from petroleum product imports in the nine months of the current fiscal year.

According to the office’s data, petrol worth NPR 7.75 billion was imported, amounting to 83,448 kiloliters during the said period. Similarly, diesel worth NPR 5.87 billion was imported, amounting to 55,024 kiloliters.

Likewise, LPG gas worth NPR 1.90 billion was imported, amounting to 19,136.693 metric tons, ATF worth NPR 570 million was imported, amounting to 5,988 kiloliters, and coal worth NPR 700 million was imported, amounting to 34,524.490 metric tons, informed Information Officer Humagain.
