Türkiye’s imports from Russia fell by $3.5 billion between January and April, a decrease of 22.8%, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said at a press conference.

“The largest decline in imports is observed from the Russian Federation,” Bolat noted.

The next largest reductions were recorded from the United Arab Emirates, where imports fell by $835 million (25.7%), and Bolivia, down by $429 million (98.6%). Italy also saw a decrease of $405 million (7.8%), while imports from France dropped by $295 million (6.7%).

At the same time, Türkiye recorded the strongest growth in imports from China, with an increase of $1.8 billion. Increases were also reported from the United States, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, and Mexico.
