Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal stated that Ukraine has the right to strike Russian port facilities in the Baltic region, as this is how it defends itself from Russian aggression.
Bloomberg writes about this.
He made this statement after another incident where military drones flew into the territory of Estonia and Finland.
Michal emphasized that the Kremlin bears responsibility for these incidents, because it is Russia that is waging war and attacking Ukrainian civilian objects that have no military significance.
According to him, it is obvious to Estonia that Ukraine is defending itself and destroying the Russian system of earning money, in particular the port infrastructure that is working for the war.
At the same time, the Prime Minister noted that Estonia does not want “war debris” to enter its airspace.
He also acknowledged that countries bordering Russia and Ukraine face technical difficulties in detecting and destroying military drones crossing borders.
According to Michal, Estonia already has air defense systems and is additionally purchasing new radar systems.
Recall that on the night of Wednesday, March 25, drones from Russia flew into the airspace of the Baltic countries . One of them crashed into the chimney of a power plant in Estonia, and another exploded in Latvia – the wreckage of the drone was found on the ground.
