Edmond, Oklahoma mass shooting sends at least 23 to hospital

Authorities say at least 23 people were injured when a fight at a party turned into a mass shooting Sunday night at Arcadia Lake in Edmond.Below is what we know about the mass shooting event. Their age ranges are 16 to 30. Three victims are in critical condition, and four others are in serious condition. At least 10 people were taken other hospitals in the Oklahoma City metro. Their conditions are unknown. Information about the victims has not been released. Edmond Public Schools and Oklahoma City Public Schools officials said they did not have reports of any students being injured. Shots break out during party Around 9 p.m., Edmond police responded to reports of shootings at Arcadia Lake near the Scissortail Campground, which is near 15th Street and Air Depot Boulevard.When officers arrived, they found at least 23 people with injuries ranging in severity, including some gunshot wounds. Police did not say if all 23 people were shot or if they were injured in other ways after gunshots rang out. Police said in a news release that the shooting happened during an “unsanctioned party that began after dark and was advertised across multiple social media platforms.” The party drew a “large crowd of young adults from across the metro area,” according to police. The Edmond Police Department added that the party was not permitted or a reserved gathering.
