Officials report rising activity in Belarus that could enable rapid Russian use of training grounds and supply corridors. Kyiv says it is closely monitoring developments.

On Belarusian territory, the formation of training grounds and logistical routes continues, which the Russian Federation can use at any moment. Such a position was voiced by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during a television broadcast, without reference to media intermediaries.

«There is some activity on the territory of Belarus – it is taking place. And, in particular, regarding the creation of logistic corridors, regarding the creation of training grounds, regarding further, perhaps, activity, regarding cooperation with Russia. Because, unfortunately, Belarus does not stop supporting the terrorist country»

Overview and risks for the region

According to Demchenko, Russia does not currently keep significant forces directly on Belarusian territory, but all the infrastructure developed there can be used at any moment to support the aggressor.

Intelligence, the Ministry of Defense, and the State Border Guard Service continue to monitor developments, and movements of Russian units across the border could have serious consequences for the region.

From the Ukrainian side, the objective is to repulse any invasion attempts and to counter provocations near the border. Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated about specific activity on the Ukraine–Belarus border.

Overall, the situation requires vigilance and coordination with partners, but Ukraine remains alert and ready to respond to any threats to ensure border security and regional stability.
