  1. Mostly interesting for the betting odds it gives:

    > **Boris Johnson to win Vote of Confidence**

    > Yes: 2/5
    > No: 15/8

    > **Boris Johnson exit date**

    > 2022: 5/6 (was 5/4 last week)
    2023: 5/1
    2024 or later: 2/1

    > **Next Conservative leader after Boris Johnson**

    > Jeremy Hunt: 9/2
    > Liz Truss: 7/1
    > Tom Tugendhat: 8/1
    > Penny Mordaunt: 8/1
    > Rishi Sunak: 9/1
    > Ben Wallace: 12/1
    > Nadhim Zahawi: 17/1
    > Sajid Javid: 19/1

Interesting to see Priti Patel not even making the list.

Predictably my own preferred candidate doesn’t make it either. Johnny [*”Being in the Tory party at the moment is like working for a really shit company”*](https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/johnny-mercer-mp-afghanistan-betrayal-boris-johnson-tory-b951174.html) Mercer, that is.

From the choices above, at 8/1 I might put a quiet tenner on TomTug, formerly squishy soft on Europe, who recently low key [kicked of his leadership bid](https://nitter.net/TomTugendhat/status/1532445501563469824).

  2. I’d take a potted plant over any of them tbh. But I think we’ll need to drag Boris out kicking and screaming

  3. Boris isn’t go anywhere. This is more about political theatre and attention seeking from the MPs, who want the celebrity limelight back after the recent Royal focus

  4. Boy I’m glad we got the strong and stable Tories rather than chaos with Ed. Look at how stable Tories are as they enter the chance for their fourth leader in almost as many years.
