Seriously, that’s pretty amazing that just one reactor produces so much. The e every sector as a whole must be very efficient in Switzerland!
The main issue that Switzerland faces is a one to two month window starting in April when the water basins of pumped storage plants are at their lowest levels.

Pro tip for getting conservatives applaud renewable energy: Tell us the advantages from our political point of view.
– Nuclear reactors are a target at wars and for terrorists that can cause an enormous damage.
– Handling nuclear waste is expensive and will get more expensive with time (until we can shoot that stuff safely and cheaply into the sun)
– Dependence on imports of nuclear material
– Centralized and therefore not very failsafe
– Nuclear reactors are probably targets in any nuclear war, to maximize damage
– Did I say dependence on foreign countries yet (I did, but this can’t be overstated)
– Earthquakes can be a problem, also floods (unlikely, but who knows)
– Human errors could cause big parts of Switzerland to be inhabitable

And what’s the alternatives that solve those problems?
– Water power (we already have a lot => energy storage)
– Solar (pro: decentralized, con: dependence on rare earths from China)
– Wind energy to have some production when there is not that much solar energy, to reduce the need for storage
– Production of hydrogen/other fuel with excess energy (can power cars, can be energy storage, could even fuel rockets to bring up satellites)

Also, the most important things:
– We conservatives want a VERY concrete plan and backup plans. Left wing “solutions” are usually loosely defined and with a fixed enddate without any roadmap on how to meet the deadline.
– We want to be sure, because that’s what conservative basically means.
– A plan to get away from nuclear should therefore be something along the line of:
=> We invest X in (very concrete) plan Y that increases our energy production [concrete plan]
=> Once we have enough energy s.t. it won’t cause power outages, we’ll close down the nuclear power plants in the defined order [next step in plan only initiated when previous step succeeded]
=> If we close down reactors and we will have too many power outages, the responsible politician(s) will go to prison for years [accountability]
– If you make a plan like “we invest X in plan Y that increases energy production and close down all reactors by date Z”, conservatives will never agree with you, because there is no guarantee that by date Z, we are even able to replace the reactors.

Conservatives don’t really love nuclear energy. On the opposite, they hate uncertainty and unsafety and nuclear reactors are a source of exactly that.
You just have to sell things to them properly.

The thing is you only need very little uranium to produce so much energy and when you plan it with like 3 trucks loaded with fuel you get energy for hundred thousands of households for up to 5 years. And for your knowledge, Uranium exists widely distributed about the globe. All reactors are currently in revision except Beznau 2 that produces about 2.25% of the load.
We are still able to export 2.8 GW to north Italy and 1.8 GW to France while only importing about 1.2 GW from Germany and Austria.
