From May 5th to 8th, the Republic of Azerbaijan becomes a key centre for meetings between foreign partners, business representatives and regional delegations. Two events are being held simultaneously in Baku, which traditionally complement each other in terms of themes and the variety of exhibits: the 31st InterFood Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition and the 19th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition Caspian Agro Week, sb.by reports.
Given the global agenda, the Azerbaijani market has a strong demand for imported food products, agricultural machinery and equipment. Regional retail chains are actively seeking promising opportunities to supply high-quality goods.
Previously known as Caspian Agro, the exhibition has been rebranded since 2026 as Caspian Agro Week, combining an exhibition and a forum format. This change has revitalised the event, fostering broader networking, cross-sector co-operation and effective business dialogue for both participants and visitors.
The exhibition features over 300 companies from more than 30 countries, including Belgium, Brazil, Vietnam, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, the US, Turkiye, Japan, Ethiopia, South Korea, Sweden, and others.
Belarusian manufacturers are traditionally among the participants. The Made in Belarus. The Taste of Nature expositions, organised by the Belinterexpo unitary enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, showcase a wide range of products from twenty-four domestic producers in the food industry, engineering and agriculture sectors.
On the opening day, the Belarusian exhibition was visited by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev. The high-ranking guest was thoroughly briefed on the displayed products by Belarus’ Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich.
Belarusian producers’ participation in the InterFood Azerbaijan and Caspian Agro Week international exhibitions helps expand opportunities for building interregional and international co-operation, including planning joint projects and partnerships. The exhibitions in Baku will run through May 8th.
