This past April 21st marked a major milestone for the Danish Royal House as Princess Isabella celebrated her 19th birthday. The eldest daughter of King Frederik X and Queen Mary continues to captivate the public with a style evolution that grows more sophisticated with every appearance. 

The young royal expertly blends her mother’s acclaimed elegance with a fresh, modern edge. For the confirmation of her twin siblings, Vincent and Josephine, on April 18, 2026, Isabella wore a green suit with a double-breasted jacket and her mother’s bag. Additionally, she debuted a headpiece by Susanne Juul and matching suede pumps by Prada. On her chest, she pinned a pearl and diamond brooch that belonged to Queen Alexandrine.

For her father, King Frederik X’s 57th birthday greeting, Isabella debuted a terracotta-colored suit by Harris Wharf London, paired with a Prada blouse belonging to her mother. Her brown suede pumps were also from her mother (Gianvito Rossi), as were the aquamarine earrings by Dulong.

Among the official images released for her 18th birthday in 2025, Isabella posed in gala attire with her first tiara. She debuted an orange satin dress by Carina Gronning and wore a turquoise and diamond bandeau tiara. Made of gold and adorned with 11 daisy-style rosettes, it was crafted at the end of the 19th century and belonged to Crown Princess Margaret of Sweden. After she died in 1920, it was inherited by her daughter, Princess Ingrid (Isabella’s great-grandmother), who received it as a confirmation gift.

On April 15, 2025, Isabella looked radiant at a concert at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, 6 days before her 18th birthday.  She debuted a fabulous blue tulle dress by Jesper Hovring and wore gold-set earrings belonging to Queen Mary, which were purchased at auction in 2016.

On April 11, 2025, Isabella of Denmark participated in a meeting at Aarhus City Hall with young talents from music, sports, gastronomy, and design. The event was part of the celebrations for her 18th birthday. That afternoon, the Princess debuted a sky-blue suit by Soeren Le Schmidt, which she paired with a white blouse from The Fold that belonged to her mother. Her brown suede pumps, by Gianvito Rossi, also belonged to Queen Mary. As for jewelry, she wore her ‘P’ pendant by Dulong, the Amanda hair clip by Ellen Hunter (also from her mother), and several bracelets: one from Hermès, another by Ole Lynggaard, and the Connaught bracelet, which she received from her grandmother, Queen Margrethe, and which other European princesses also own, such as her sister, Josephine, or Olympia of Greece.

For a religious service related to Frederik X’s coronation in January 2024, Isabella recovered a pastel blue Prada coat that her mother had debuted in 2012. She paired it with black trousers and a new white “Helen” bag by Aiayu.

On January 14, 2024 (during the proclamation of King Frederik X as king and Mary as queen consort), Princess Isabella wore an elegant red coat-dress with a fitted bodice, a scarf-style collar, and pleats in the skirt, by Carolina Herrera. On her chest, she pinned a diamond and pearl brooch that her grandmother, Queen Margrethe, gave her for her christening and which she also wore for her confirmation. Triangular in shape, its craftsmanship dates back to the 20th century, as it belonged to her great-great-grandmother, Queen Alexandrine. She completed her look with black studded pumps by Valentino, which belonged to her mother.

On October 15, 2023, a gala dinner was held at Christiansborg Palace to celebrate Prince Christian’s 18th birthday. That day, Isabella of Denmark looked radiant in a blue dress by the brand Safiyaa, the Victorie model (1,800 euros). She complemented the look with a silver clutch by J. Furmani, which had previously been worn by her mother.

For the occasion, the Princess wore a red dress with a lace bodice, a matching chiffon cape, and a slit skirt by Lasse Spangenberg. As accessories, she wore the Emily 85 sandals in gold leather by Jimmy Choo; the Kharisma Supernova earrings from the house of Dulong, which belong to her mother, and were paired with three fine gold and diamond bracelets. On April 30, 2022, during her confirmation in Fredensborg, Princess Isabella wore a white ensemble consisting of a jacket, vest, and wide-leg trousers. Both pieces were from Max Mara and had been previously worn by her mother. She paired it with her Emily 85 sandals by Jimmy Choo. As for jewelry, she wore the pearl brooch she received from her grandmother, Queen Margrethe, as a christening gift, rings by Dulong, and rose and white gold diamond earrings from Hartmann, which also belonged to her mother. In another of her official portraits taken by Hasse Nielsen on her 15th birthday, the Princess brought back a green dress with a white speckled print, featuring a high collar, puffy sleeves, and a midi length. It was the Edmee model by Ba&sh (240 euros), which she first wore in February 2022 to attend the exhibition HRH Crown Princess Mary 1972-2022. She completed her look with diamond-detailed hoop earrings, the Delphis model by Dulong, which had previously been worn by her mother, the then-Princess Mary.
