Olsztyn, May 7, 2026 – Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) (NYSE: FDX), the world’s largest express transportation company, has launched a new logistics center in Olsztyn. This is the latest FedEx investment in Poland, supporting the international expansion of local businesses. With the new facility, companies from the region gain more efficient access to the FedEx global road and air network, spanning 220 markets worldwide.
The Olsztyn facility was designed to meet the growing needs of local customers who are increasingly expanding their operations both domestically and internationally. This trend is accelerating: according to a recent Minds and Roses study for FedEx, 86% of Polish companies that already sell internationally plan to enter additional foreign markets. To support this momentum, FedEx has expanded its local infrastructure.
Compared with the previous location, warehouse space has increased by 50%, while office space has grown by one-third. The site covers approximately 2,500 m², significantly improving the region’s operational capacity.
“Expanding our infrastructure in Olsztyn substantially strengthens our ability to support customers at every stage of their growth,” said Mariusz Mik, vice president operations, Nordics and Eastern Europe, FedEx. “We are proud to accompany businesses that continue to scale their operations — both in Poland and in demanding markets such as the United States or Asia. With modern logistics centers like the one in Olsztyn, a broad portfolio of services, and comprehensive support — from customs clearance to final delivery — we connect Polish businesses with customers around the world, often within just a few hours.”
The new facility is located in Olsztyn’s rapidly developing business zone, within the emerging logistics park at 8 Piotra Poleskiego Street, previously home to the Motocross Park. Positioned next to the southern ring road junction, it offers direct access to the FedEx road network connecting major European transport corridors. With direct entry to the S7 expressway, the site provides quick access to Gdańsk Airport. This opens the door to the global FedEx air network through the company’s European air hub in Paris.
The building has 56 courier ramps arranged in a marina layout, along with four loading docks designed for delivery vehicles and linehaul trucks. Additional ramps dedicated to larger palletized shipments were also included. The site is equipped with a modern automated dimensioning and weighing system.
The new facility is also designed to handle non-standard shipments, including dangerous goods, to address the needs of customers in the chemical, automotive, and healthcare.
