The Express has no right to complain. They wanted this, they wanted dark blue passports (which we could have had anyway), and sovereignty back (which we never lost).
This is what they campaigned for, they should own it.
It is almost as if people voted without being fully aware of all the ~~benefits~~ and disadvantages of exiting the EU. Could it be?! That they sucked up whatever propaganda they were fed by rich old men whose only purpose was to get even more outrageously rich on this deal? Surely, you’re joking!
You know there was probably quite a few mouthbreathers who didn’t think free movement was reciprocal.
Keep calm and queue 🙂
This is what getting rid of freedom of movement meant… you proudly walked into this Daily Express… you have to live with it.
Airport bosses are saying it’s due to staffing and other factors and expect to be able to resolve the situation though so these articles are deliberately misleading
They should have kept the cake instead of eating it.
The Express can get f**ked, they were the ones peddling ‘Project Fear’ for any rational arguments to not leave the EU
We might not be experiencing the worst case scenarios that were predicted but you cannot ignore how things have gone downhill since we left the EU. The EU was not perfect but being a part of the world’s largest trading bloc was always going to be better than trying to go it alone. The EU benefited from having us as a member but nowhere near as much as we benefited from the EU as a whole; we will never see benefits like that again. Calling it Project Fear was just an immature means to protect people’s feelings from reality.
This doesn’t surprise me one bit.
Time for a new vote yet ?
It’s almost like suddenly shrinking the labour market from 500 million to 65 million with already low unemployment has consequences. Who could have predicted this?
