The Belgian Royal Family hosted a State Banquet for King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden at the Royal Château de Laeken on this day in 2001, 25 years ago, on their four-day State Visit to Belgium!
King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden were received by the Belgian Royal Family in an Official Welcome Ceremony at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
In the evening, King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium held a State Banquet for their Swedish Royal Guests at the Royal Chateau of Laeken.
Queen Silvia wore the Cameo Tiara and the Order of Leopold.
Queen Paola was in the Nine Provinces Tiara and the Royal Order of the Seraphim.
Crown Princess Victoria wore the Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara.

The following day, after a visit to Antwerp, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and Crown Princess Victoria held a Return Gala for the Belgian Royal Family at the Cercle Royal Gaulois.
Queen Silvia wore Queen Sofia’s Nine Prong Tiara and the Pink Topaz Parure while Queen Paola was in Queen Elisabeth’s Diamond Bandeau.
