‘Look Mum No Computer’ drift to 80/1 with bookmakers as Finland emerge as clear favourites
The United Kingdom’s hopes of Eurovision glory appear to be fading fast, with bookmakers dramatically slashing confidence in UK entry ‘Look Mum No Computer’ ahead of next week’s 2026 contest.
According to William Hill, the UK act has drifted from 20/1 outsiders to a huge 80/1 in recent weeks, leaving them down in 17th place in the betting market less than 10 days before the competition begins.
In contrast, Finland have become the runaway favourites to lift the Eurovision crown. Finnish duo Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen were priced at 4/1 back in February, but sustained support from punters has seen their odds cut dramatically to just 5/4.
Denmark and Greece remain Finland’s closest challengers, both currently sitting at 11/2, while Australia follows at 15/2 and France at 9/1.
Lee Phelps, spokesperson for William Hill, said the market is now “really starting to take shape” as excitement builds ahead of the contest.
“The 2026 Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner and the market is really starting to take shape, with Finland the clear punters’ pick and the UK’s chances plummeting,” he said.
“Having been 4/1 favourites when most of the acts were announced, Finland have since been very popular in the betting and are now the undeniable frontrunners at 5/4, ahead of Denmark at 11/2.
“It looks as though it could be another bleak year for the UK who have been friendless in the betting, drifting from 20/1 at the time of ‘Look Mum No Computer’, to 80/1 wide outsiders less than 10 days out from the competition.”
Current outright betting sees Finland leading the field at 5/4, ahead of Denmark and Greece at 11/2, Australia at 15/2, France at 9/1 and Israel at 18/1.
