Ancorius Group, a Luxembourg-based provider of corporate and fund services, has signed an agreement to acquire Unsworth & Associates, a regulated corporate services provider operating in Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

The transaction, announced on 8 May 2026, is subject to regulatory approvals in Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Regulated licences

U&A is licensed to provide corporate and fiduciary services in both markets. In Luxembourg, it operates under a specialised PSF licence, while in the Netherlands it holds a trust office licence.

Ancorius stated that, after completion, these licences would allow the group to expand the range of regulated services it offers to institutional and international clients.

, group chief executive of Ancorius, remarked that the acquisition would broaden the group’s capabilities and geographic reach. He added that Luxembourg would remain central to Ancorius’ strategy, while the transaction would add a presence in another important European market.

Client continuity

Ancorius mentioned that U&A clients would continue to work with their existing teams, maintaining service and relationship continuity. Over time, they are expected to gain access to Ancorius’ wider platform, including additional expertise and cross-border support.

Brad Unsworth, principal and director at U&A, noted that Ancorius becoming the company’s new shareholder and strategic partner would help increase efficiency. He added that joining a larger organisation and expanding capabilities across the Netherlands and Luxembourg would strengthen U&A’s ability to provide client-focused services developed over more than 40 years.

Growth strategy

The acquisition forms part of Ancorius’ broader growth strategy, under which the group is reviewing selective acquisitions to strengthen its capabilities, talent base and international presence.

Steven Gringoire, managing director at AnaCap, described the deal as an important milestone for the group, adding that it would expand Ancorius internationally and add regulated corporate services for institutional clients to its product offering.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, Ancorius combines more than 30 years of expertise and serves investment funds, corporates, entrepreneurs and private wealth clients.
