The United States Department of Defense has proceeded with the declassification of files related to unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, detailing incidents across various regions of the world, including Greece.

The release follows an order by US President Donald Trump for the publication of government documents concerning unexplained aerial and maritime phenomena.

A first batch of the files was published Friday on a newly launched Pentagon website dedicated to UFOs and include 162 files sourced from multiple US government bodies, including the FBI, the Department of Defense, NASA, and the Department of State.

The documents reportedly contain eyewitness testimonies, photographs, videos, and official reports documenting sightings of unexplained objects in different parts of the world.

According to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the release marks an effort to increase transparency on long-classified material. “These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation, and it is time for the American people to see them with their own eyes,” he stated upon the publication of the first set of documents.

The archive includes video material and case files that remain unresolved, as well as reports compiled by various US government agencies over time.

Among the material are references to incidents linked to Greece, including several videos recorded between 2023 and 2024, according to the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), an office within the US Department of Defense established in 2022 to investigate unidentified aerial and anomalous phenomena.
