Just look at Polish history 1796 to 1918 and then 1939 to 1990 and you’ll see why.
9% US?! Cmon, we should at least be on par with Denmark or Ireland…
Who the Hell is in that 5% positive group?
We couldn’t possibly have been naive enough to let that many Russians in.
Polish people have am entirely rational distrust of and dislike for Russia, based on a long and painful series of interactions with it.
You’d have to be a country of masochists to go through that history and come out with anything like a positive opinion of such a barbaric and malignant neighbour.
So 6% old communist people and 14% retards in Ukraine huh
Shocking, absolutely shocking that people should develop negative perception of a country which invades, bombs, ethnically cleanses and committs all other sorts of war crimes against their neighbor…
How tf we hate Russians more than Ukraine
but tbh, it must be because of Russian people living in Ukraine
We dislike Russia more that the people currently being attacked by it
Sometimes that hatred can get out of control though…
Jeszcze niedawno konfa miała 15%, teraz tylko 5? Słabiutko.
*PORTUGAL CARALHO*
Portugal is eastern europe
Change my mind
Common Polish W.
Also, off topic, but my parents are Polish and huge Putin supporters (don’t even get me started why). And they’ve convinced me that actually a majority of Poland is for, and not against, Russia.
So these statistics definitely should prove their perception wrong. Plus, my grandparents, who actually live in Poland, are against Russia completely, and hate Putin. And they’ve told me that most of their friends are too.
Crazy parallels.
this is like the stat in eu4
Poles just waited for an opportunity when being hostile towards Russians is politically acceptable.
I have a feeling that we are first only because Finland is not on the list 🙂
The thing with this poll is that the respondents are probably open supporters of Putin, getting buthurt when someone points out that they’re a fascist. I know some Russian people that hate Putin, no one is harassing them.
*gasp* you said the p-word, you’re definitely going to jail now
what happened to Portugal?
Ok, I understand that Russia and near by places, have a tense relationship to stay the least. However, what the hell, did the other countries do? Ireland? Canada? Wtf.
Portugal so high? Explain that to me :O literally other side of the continent and no historical clashes.
“Russian speaking immigrants experienced harassment, open hostility and discrimination”
why are you proud of this?
When people in your country hate Russia more than people from country who’s actually at open war with them xd
PoLska GurOM ZaWsze na ToPie!!1!
Never been prouder
Sadly for those 87% of Poles (myself included), is a known fact, that this isn’t situation “people good, goverment bad” anymore. While obviousily a lot of Russians are good people, because they do not lack something abundand in this day and age, called “common sense”, we did experience on our own skin, that what they are capable of, is written in their genes.
And in terms of mentioned hostility, harassement and discrimination, Ukrainian people are not far off.
I might have explained it wrong, but personally speaking: I would never stray from helping anybody, unless they would show their stereotypical side.

Edit: yeah, looking at it again, I did explain it really bad. Welp, it’s 2AM, so what was I expecting lol
United Kingdom isn’t negative enough
I’m surprised by Germany’s 10%. That’s 8 million people just two countries removed from the war thinking it’s A-OK. Especially considering its history being the aggressor and what it led to.
We hate Russia more than the Ukrainians do 💀💀
Ok, but why Portugal’s second though?
Of course in Poland thw least people said “don’t know”. Because here everyone has to have an opinion on everything
The stats from the DPI 2022 are pretty interesting:
55% of people think the goverment should focus on improving healthcare (highest result)
Only 10% of people think reducing immigration should be a priority (makes sense, lowest result) and only 14% think the goverment should focus on promoting gender equality.
Only 19% (third lowest) think the goverment should focus on reducing climate change which is honestly very disappointing.
And here are the perception of democracy stats:
91% think it’s important for a country to be democratic while only 44% see Poland as such. Nearly a third of people (27%) said that Poland doesn’t have full free speech. As much as 42% of people think Poland doesn’t have equal rights for everyone while 76% of people find that equal rights are very important.

Economic Inequality(66%), Limits to free speech (65%) and Corruption (69%) are seen as the biggest threats to democracy in Poland, with unfair elections(59%), influence of global corporations (52%) and foreign election influence (45%) not far behind. Polish people generally see social media positively.
The US is viewed overwhelmingly positively (78% pos, 6% neg), Russia overhelmingly negative (but you know that already), China negatively although not as much (22% pos, 40% neg). The EU (73% pos, 14% neg) is somehow seen more negatively than the US (maybe Poland should join the US!). The UN(68-9) is also seen positively.

Polish people see the world’s largest challenge as war and violent conflic (71%!), then poverty and hunger (a comparatively meagre 34%) and climate change (33%). The issues least important in the world according to polish people are migration(18%), economic inequality(17%) and racism (13%, makes sense considering how homogeneous Poland is).
When it comes to goverment dealing with COVID, it’s equally split 48-48.
As a polish person i should feel offended that its not 100%
