Prince Harry believes his disgraced uncle former Duke of York Andrew ‘deserves stronger protection’ after latest incident close to the home of Andrew in eastern England.
The British media reported that a man wearing a balaclava had allegedly threatened Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, when he was out walking his dogs in the eastern Sandringham area.
The man had been sitting in his car when he saw Mountbatten-Windsor, and allegedly got out of the vehicle and headed towards the ex-prince shouting at him.
Andrew had been accompanied by a member of his private security, and fled to his own car, driving away at speed.
The police said they had arrested the man wielding a weapon who “was behaving in an intimidating manner” close to the home of former prince Andrew.
Amid this, royal expert Rob Shuter has claimed that Harry, who has been demanding official security for him and his family Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet, believes his uncle also deserves strong protection.
Citing the royal insiders, the expert claims surprisingly, insiders say Harry even believes Andrew deserves stronger protection.
Another close insider said, “Harry does not defend Andrew personally,” “But he believes royals are permanent high-risk targets regardless of public opinion.”
The suspect has pleaded not guilty to threatening behaviour towards Andrew after being arrested.
Alex Jenkinson, 39, pleaded not guilty at a court hearing in central London to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Jenkinson will stand trial on July 29 and was granted conditional bail.
