The Wolfpack will visit Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Greece during the 11-day trip, combining competitive opportunities, cultural immersion and team bonding ahead of the 2026 season.
Head coach Megan Wargo-Kearney said, “This trip is an invaluable opportunity for our athletes to grow both on the court against international competition and off the court through shared cultural experiences traveling to four countries together. I am excited to see our team bond in a new and uncomfortable environment as we continue to lay the foundation for our upcoming 2026 season. We are very excited and are also very thankful for our donors for their support of our program.”
The tour will begin in Italy before continuing through Slovenia and Croatia for two days and concluding its journey in Greece for the final five days. Throughout the trip, NC State will have the opportunity to compete against international competition while exploring some of Europe’s most historic destinations.
Foreign tours are permitted once every four years under NCAA rules, allowing programs to hold additional practices and compete in exhibition matches against international competition. The experience provides valuable on-court development while also fostering personal growth away from competition.
NC State’s European adventure will serve as a springboard into the upcoming 2026 campaign, giving the Wolfpack a unique opportunity to strengthen its bonds and prepare for the season ahead.
Fans can follow along with NC State Volleyball’s journey on social media throughout the trip for behind-the-scenes content, updates and highlights.
