Belarusian cyclist Aliaksei Shnyrko has claimed victory in the opening stage of the international “Baku-Khankendi” cycling race held in Azerbaijan.
The first stage began in the Sea Breeze Resort area and finished in Sumgayit, The Caspian Post reports via Idman.biz.
The Belarusian cyclist, representing the Chinese team Li-Ning Star, secured first place after a strong performance on the opening leg of the race.
The prestigious multi-stage competition is being held over five stages and will conclude on May 14 in Khankendi.
