I went to watch this a few years ago, it’s impossible to comprehend how steep that hill is until you see it in person. It’s hard even to stand at the side without falling, had to catch a few people who lost their footing while watching
I went this year. A guy injured his ankle a d got carried off but he was upright on one leg at the bottom. The rugby guys are hilarious. They were doing some completely uneccessary tackles. I managed to get a lot closer this year than last time. I remember going as a kid, many moons ago, and there were loads less people back then it was easier to get a good spot. Oh well. It’s nice to have a world famous event happening not far from home. 🙂
