The Frenchman won two stages of the Giro d’Italia in Bulgaria.
Frenchman Paul Magnier spoke to the media after his second stage triumph in the Giro d’Italia, a BGNES reporter reported.
Magnier crossed the final straight first and solidified the good impressions with his performance from the start of the Giro in Nessebar on May 8.
“It couldn’t be better, I have to say that I’m really proud to have two stage wins, one day in the pink jersey and now a victory with the cyclamen jersey. I think Bulgaria really suits me and yes, I really leave the country with a good feeling and great memories” said Magnier.
When asked by BGNES about the stage itself, he replied: “It was again a really easy stage with only three people in the breakaway, but the finish was very fast because it took us a while to get back to the strong breakaway and then the team did an incredible job to get me into the best possible position in the last meters. Yes, I’m really happy to finish it this way”, commented the French cyclist.
“Now I plan to enjoy the two victories and I will try to continue in the same spirit”, concluded Paul Magnier. | BGNES
