He owes his job to the snowballing scandals of the PM, which are great enough to eclipse his own.
He’d have been sacked under literally anyone else.
If this had happened 6 months ago, I’d have been willing to bet BIG money that Sunak would have voted Johnson out regardless of what he’d have said publicly, as he was near untouchable before then. Now he still might, but he isn’t the shoe-in to replace Johnson he once was
It’d be down right astonishing if he didn’t.
Aka the other PM candidates have their own chancellors in mind and I will be out of a job.
Suspect there’s a few hedging their bets today – back him publicly in case he wins then you don’t get sacked in the reshuffle, but privately vote against him and hope for the best!
If the rumours are true about No 10s smear campaign against Sunak in recent months, I doubt there’ll be any loyalty from him in today’s vote.
Birds of a feather…
I wonder how Theresa May is going to vote?
That means he’s voting against him.

The guy who Bjo put in power, doesn’t want Bojo to leave office.
Ironic since he’s apparently the front runner for next leader.
It would be more of a shock if he didn’t.
He keeps his job a little longer knowing no leader in their right mind would put him as chancellor again.
