Bookmakers place Finland as clear favourite to win in Vienna, while the UK trails at 125/1
With the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 now just days away, anticipation is building ahead of this year’s competition at Wiener Stadthalle, where countries from across Europe and beyond will compete in the 70th anniversary edition of the global music event.
According to final odds released by bookmaker BetGoodwin, Finland has emerged as the clear favourite to take the Eurovision crown, currently sitting at 6/5 ahead of Greece at 15/4 and Denmark at 11/2.
Australia and France round out the top five contenders, while Israel, Malta, Romania, Italy and Sweden also remain among the frontrunners heading into the live shows.
Meanwhile, the United Kingdom faces an uphill battle according to traders, currently sitting at 125/1 alongside Luxembourg and Latvia, and only marginally ahead of Germany at 150/1.

BetGoodwin Chief Operating Officer Ben Head said Finland’s entry had struck a chord with bookmakers thanks to what is being viewed as a strong balance between jury appeal and public televoting potential.
“The traders have a pretty clear favourite in Finland. Their odds of 6/5 reflect a strong all-round package that traders believe will appeal to both juries and the televote. Greece and Denmark are shaping up as the main challengers, but Finland holds a commanding lead with this year’s entry Liekinheitin performed by violinist and singing duo Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen.”
Despite the UK’s lengthy odds, Head noted Eurovision’s famously unpredictable nature means surprises are always possible on the night.
“As for the United Kingdom, our entries have consistently struggled to connect with European audiences, apart from Sam Ryder in 2022. Although, at 125/1, the odds are against the UK this year. That said, Eurovision is never short of surprises. A stunning live performance and jury vote could throw up some interesting results. Anything could happen.”
Eurovision airs this weekend on BBC One
