That could be resolved really easily. Undo the single use plastics legislation, that fossil fuel companies lobbied for. Redo the legislation but this time, ensure fossil fuel companies have no say in it. We can go back to using glass for a lot of products and it would be recyclable.
Our office, like most across the country, has separate bins for different types of waste in every room and we use them diligently. My boss stayed late one day last week and saw the person collecting the waste just put the contents of all three bins in our room into one large rubbish bag.
