Construction firm Skanska, in collaboration with the City of Stockholm and Heidelberg, has completed Sweden’s first on-site casting using civil engineering concrete based on cement produced with CCS technology, where carbon dioxide is captured and stored to reduce climate emissions, according to a press release.
The casting took place in Hagastaden, Stockholm, and involves parts of the technical facility that Skanska is constructing for the City of Stockholm.
The project consistently utilizes concrete with a lower environmental impact.
