The countdown has begun for Lagoa’s flagship wine event, the Lagoa Wine Show, which will transform the town centre into a five-day celebration of wine, gastronomy, music and culture.
Taking place from June 5 to 9, the event will run daily from 7pm to midnight across several central locations, including Rua Coronel Figueiredo, Praça da República, Largo Alves Roçadas and the area near Casa Dr. Albergaria.

Organisers describe the Wine Show as an experience that brings together wine tasting, local food, live music and diverse cultural programming in one setting, aiming to highlight both regional producers and national wine regions.
This year’s edition will feature performances from well-known Portuguese artists including Aurea (June 5), Ana Bacalhau (June 6), Raquel Tavares (June 7), Descendentes (June 8), and Tito Paris (June 9).

Alongside the concerts, visitors will be able to sample wines from producers across the Algarve and other Portuguese regions, paired with local food offerings and live culinary demonstrations using regional products.
Portugal’s beloved Fado music will remain a cornerstone of the programme, with several Fado performances and other live entertainment spread throughout the event spaces.
The Lagoa Wine Show has grown into one of the municipality’s main annual events. In 2025, it attracted around 3,500 visitors to the town centre.

“More than an event, it is a celebration of Lagoa’s identity, flavours and traditions – a true invitation to enjoy the best that the Algarve has to offer,” the local council says.
Admission is free.
Lagoa has also embraced a leading role in the Algarve’s attempts to grow as a wine region, from hosting a wide range of wine-related events – such as the upcoming Lagoa Wine Show and the Algarve Wine Tourism Fair, held in April – to attempts to create a supportive environment for local winemakers, including plans to build a new home for the Única winemaking cooperative.
