Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is said to have been confronted by a guest after the ex-prince “kicked his dog in the head” during a shooting weekend at Sandringham.

Royal expert Andrew Lownie recounted the heart-wrenching moment in the updated edition of his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Duke and Duchess of York, which is set to be released on May 21.

According to Lownie, a friend of the royal family joined the former Duke of York – who is currently facing renewed scrutiny over his ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein – at a pheasant shoot at the royal residence when the incident took place.

“Mid-morning, everyone gathered for hot soup and sausage rolls. The guest was standing next to Andrew, who had his Labrador by his side,” Lownie recounted.

“Suddenly the dog leapt and snatched the guest’s sausage roll from his hand, causing him to laugh.”

However, Andrew seemingly didn’t see the humour in the moment, for Lownie claims he “kicked the dog in the head, leaving her whimpering on the ground.”

The guest reportedly told Andrew off for his violent display towards his pet, saying: “That is the most disgusting thing that you have just done to your beautiful dog. You should be ashamed of yourself!”

Lownie claims Andrew hurled expletive language at the guest, before telling him: “It is none of your business and I will do precisely what I want to MY dogs.”

The uncomfortable moment is said to have prompted a prominent member of the royal family to approach the guest following the incident.

“That evening, Prince Philip came up to him and said, ‘What you said to my son today was absolutely right and Her Majesty and I fully agree with what you said. Andrew needs a good scolding from time to time.'”

The grim excerpt isn’t the only recent addition to Lownie’s catalogue of scandals involving the former Duke of York.

Andrew’s Epstein ties left Queen with no choice but to ‘sack her own son’: Royal author

According to the author, Andrew made a creepy five-word remark to a flight attendant after complaining that his bottle of water was too cold and shoving it “down his trousers”.

The former prince was working as a senior royal when he allegedly undid his fly and made a creepy comment in front of a British Airways crew member.

“A stewardess on a first-class British Airways flight to New York in 2010 tells of how, after he requested a bottle of water, he complained it was too cold,” the royal expert writes under the subtitle Strange Behaviour.

“She apologised and said all the water was in the chiller, so ‘he undid his flies, shoved the bottle of water down his trousers’.”

According to Lownie, Andrew then said, “This will warm it up”.
