I think there is an unrealistic expectation of what British citizenship brings. The article suggests that the UK and Egypt have good relations and that should mean the UK gets it’s way, that’s a very naive way of looking at foreign policy. Their good relationship is more than likely based on both countries not dictating each others business but handing each other profitable business opportunities when possible, in return for profitable business opportunities.
