LISBON OH-  Lisbon punched its ticket to the district semifinals Tuesday night after running wild in a 22-0 beatdown over Lordstown in the Division 7 Northeast 1 sectional final at 6547 Lisbon Road.

Sofia Brown was locked in at the dish all game, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three base knocks and helping spark a Lisbon offense that couldn’t be cooled off. The Blue Devils piled up 19 hits and turned the fourth inning into an all-out avalanche.

Lisbon hung a crooked number in the fourth, exploding for 16 runs and completely blowing the game open. Abby Ammon ripped a triple that plated two, Emelia Cook stayed hot with a pair of RBI singles, and Alayna Householder smoked a triple of her own to drive in two more. Delaney Pickens added clutch knocks during the rally, while Kamryn Peruchetti and Lexi Roush kept the pressure on with heads-up baserunning and patient at-bats.

The Blue Devils jumped on Lordstown right out of the gate in the first inning. Aria Reckner punched a single to center, Cook legged out a triple, Brown slapped another RBI hit, and Peruchetti swiped home as Lisbon grabbed early momentum and never looked back.

Householder helped tack on more insurance in the third with an RBI single that stretched the lead to 6-0 before the fourth inning fireworks started flying.

Inside the circle, Peruchetti dealt. The righty tossed five shutout innings, allowed just two hits, fanned six, and kept Lordstown guessing all night long.

Householder drove in four runs from the eight-hole and finished 2-for-4. Brown, Cook, and Ammon each collected three hits, while Pickens, Peruchetti, and Bridgett Newbold all turned in multi-hit games.

Lisbon was also a menace on the basepaths, swiping 10 bags in the rout. Brown and Pickens each snagged multiple steals as the Blue Devils played pedal-down softball from first pitch to final out.

Lordstown managed hits from Amber Morrison and Miranda Antal, but couldn’t slow down the Lisbon lineup once it got rolling.

Next up, Lisbon heads to the district semifinals where the Blue Devils will square off with the winner of St. John vs. Andrew Osborne.
