The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has signed an order On the Preparation of Textbooks in the Humanities and Social Sciences, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian leader’s press service
The document envisages the establishment of a state commission responsible for preparing textbooks and teaching materials in the humanities and social sciences, as well as defining the main directions of its work.
The commission will be chaired by the Education Minister and will include respected scholars, educators, practicing teachers in the humanities and social science, along with representatives from republican government bodies, deputies and public organisations.
The Education Ministry is responsible for providing organisational and methodological support to the commission and enhancing the content of textbooks and teaching materials over the next five years.
The adoption of this order aims to promote the systematic updating of textbooks and teaching materials using consistent conceptual frameworks across all educational levels, aligned with national interests.
