Are Conservatives looking at another 1997?

  1. Clearly written by a tory. The main reason this time is ‘is the party Conservative enough’, I mean no, they clearly are, with the assett stripping, the reallocation of public money to millionaire backers and the massive amounts of privilege and lying. For the average moron in the streets the issues are ‘had any of their policy’s made my life easier’ and no none of any of the many policies designed to shift wealth to the 1% has made the average persons life easier

  2. There’s no guarantee, the gap isn’t that wide and although Starmer is considerably less pathetic than the joke that is Corbyn he is a long way from the powerhouse that was Blair in the run up to GE97.

  3. Not unless the opposition has got another young, charismatic, down to earth, centre left, man of the people, future war criminal up their sleeve.

  4. Only if the media decide to ditch them, otherwise they could still hang on if Johnson does not make the colossal mistake of calling an early general election. A few token tax cuts, a few million thrown to the NHS or police and then the Tories can look good to their supporters again.

  5. Probably more a 2010 but flipped at this rate, if Labour win back Scotland then we’ll see another 1997

  6. 97 was what happened when the Tories got everything they wanted (and more) from a leader. Then dumped her because they wanted to pretend they weren’t pleased. Then the best they could muster was major.

We’re at stage 1. Bojo has broken everything from the economy to the national finances to the nhs. And the Tories fucking love it. But people are starting to notice. So do they have the balls to keep him and try for a completely failed state? Or will they do what they did with thatcher and bottle it?

God I hope they all die in a fire.
