The inaugural Distinguished Lectureship in Mind-Body Science and Health will be delivered by Wendy Berry Mendes, Yale University professor of psychology, on May 28 at the Mellon Institute.

Mendes will discuss “Affect Contagion: Physiologic Synchrony among Strangers and Close Others,” from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Mellon Institute Auditorium.

The lectureship is sponsored by the Pittsburgh Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine Research Network, a joint project of Pitt and Carnegie Mellon University, and Pitt’s Center for Mind-Body Science and Health.

RSVP as soon as possible to help plan for a reception following the lecture.

This is a public event. Students, post-docs, and early-stage investigators are especially encouraged to attend.
