Slovenian energy company Petrol
reported a 73% drop in first-quarter net profit, blaming
Slovenia’s fuel price regulation regime for losses in its core
petroleum products business despite significantly higher sales
volumes, according to Slovenian news agency STA. According to
Friday’s earnings release, the group’s net profit was EUR 8
million, a 73% decrease from the previous year, as revenue
remained flat at EUR 1.53 billion despite a 10% increase in
volume sales of petroleum products, its core business.
