For too long the Labour party has abandoned this arena to the Tories allowing them to wrap themselves in the flag.
But let’s not forget that the Tory members of Churchill’s cabinet were pushing for surrender after Dunkirk whilst his Labour members of the war cabinet enabled him to continue the fight.
Don’t ever let the the Tories do this again, they are the last people to be giving anyone lessons in patriotism.
Seems to me that the UK needs a political party that will genuinely actively work forward for the best it can do for its citizens, its people, and those who were told to *trust* the good nature of its government.
Patriotism is being batted about like the we’re all family here trope being taken to the extreme … patriotism calls upon the citizens to support the government but not the other way round.
The phucking government itself ought to show some real compassionate patriotism to the people while they go homeless, hungry, and tired. Unless homelessness, hunger, and exhaustion are the new values… because looking at the Government’s efforts, it surely seems so.

Yep, nothing like supporting/befriending a terrorist organisation like Hamas, letting union bosses run rampant with unchecked greed and corruption because they fund your party, defiling/harassing Jewish people who are members of your party and support your party, screaming blue murder over the opposition breaking lockdown rules whilst actively breaking those very same rules and then dodging/deflecting the issue when such hypocrisy is put to you despite how much you were screeching nonstop for heads to roll until you were caught out, siding with Putin and defending him when he literally orchestrated a mass poisoning of your own people on your own streets, trying your very best to disregard and desecrate the will of the British people who won the majority in a democratically held vote, and not knowing nor being able to answer a simple question like “What is a woman?” certainly screams “British values!” to me(!)

“British Values” are whatever you want them to be. This is just pandering trying to win back the votes of people from the red wall.

Thing is, for many normal working people, they find it hard to forget and forgive the Party that elected Corbyn as their leader.
