A University of Lucknow assistant professor was arrested following allegations of engaging in inappropriate phone calls and leaking examination papers to a female student.
Paramjeet Singh, a faculty member of the Zoology Department, purportedly pressed the student to meet him and claimed to have access to the leaked papers.
The university has opened an investigation, and police involvement followed the circulation of incriminating audio online. Singh denies the accusations, attributing the claims to internal political disputes.
