Tehran introduces a new navigation mechanism in The Strait of Hormuz. This was stated on the social network X by the head of the National security Commission of the Iranian parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, according to ParsToday Russian.
According to the mechanism announced by Azizi, which will be made public soon, only vessels cooperating with Iran have the right of passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
“Within the framework of national sovereignty and ensuring the security of international trade, Iran has prepared a professional traffic management mechanism in The Strait of Hormuz along the established route, which will be presented soon. In this process, only merchant ships and parties cooperating with Iran will be able to use it. The necessary fees for the specialized services provided will be collected by Iran through this mechanism,” the head of the commission writes.
It is noted that this route will continue to be closed to participants of the Svoboda project.
