Magyar released a video claiming that employees discovered at least 15-20 bags filled with shredded documents in the building’s basement, as well as boxes of campaign materials. These include, in particular, leaflets and posters with the slogan “Fidesz — the safe choice,” flags, and more.

According to the head of government, suspicions arise regarding several potential criminal offenses, including illegal party financing. Competent authorities must investigate whether state resources or officials were used for the production, storage, or distribution of campaign materials within a government institution.

“The State Audit Office should look into these matters; of course, the police will also conduct an investigation,”

–  Magyar said.

He added that investigators must determine who ordered the storage and likely the production of campaign materials in the ministry building and whether there were instructions for civil servants to participate in these activities.
