BLAKELY, Ga. (WALB) – Many animals at the City of Blakely Animal Shelter are set to be euthanized if they are not adopted by the end of the day Monday, May 18, according to the shelter.

The shelter said each of the animals will be euthanized due to limited space. The shelter said many of the animals have been waiting to be adopted.
Unless rescues, foster-based organizations or adopters step in, they will be euthanized Monday.
So far, the shelter said five animals are committed to rescue and could be fostered. Anyone interested in adopting or fostering is asked to contact the City of Blakely Animal Shelter at 229-220-1383.
