Do love how crypto scammers still have to use filthy fiat money for any real transactions lol. Almost like crypto doesn’t have a real life use.
Quite the coincidence really – but, obviously, nothing more to this story. I mean we all know that the Tory’s are the very definition of ethics and integrity. Nothing to see here, move along please….
> Andrew Bailey, governor of the independent Bank of England, has called cryptocurrencies “the new front line” for criminal scams and has warned that they have “no intrinsic value”. Since the government’s April announcement, cryptocurrencies have gone into meltdown with the price of bitcoin falling by more than half . . .
> The Conservative Party said that there was no connection between Harborne’s donation and the government’s backing of crypto. “Government policy is in no way influenced by party donations – they are entirely separate,” a [professional Tory bullshitter] said.
Harborne was [in the news](https://protos.com/bitfinex-tether-digfinex-shareholder-harborne-brexit-bankroller/) just over a year ago:
> So Christopher Harborne, who has donated £13.7 million to Nigel Farage’s Reform UK Party, was a shareholder in British Virgin Islands-based Digfinex, made his fortune in aviation fuel & tech investing, & made multiple appearances in the Panama Papers.

He was also one of the 22 donors who [recently issued orders to Tory MPs](https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/world/news/conservative-donors-who-backed-boris-johnson-ahead-of-confidence-vote-hand-party-another-2-4-million/articleshow/92252297.cms) to vote for Johnson in the recent confidence vote or else face defunding.
Honestly if you don’t know the tories are corrupt do you even have ears?

How much do you think we would have to donate to get them to legalise weed. I recon a cool mil should do it easy?
Seems as if there is a TINY BIT of corruption going on in ole’ UK …
It never fails to amaze me how phenomenally cheap it is to corrupt politicians. 500k buys you a decent suburban semi in a town outside London. Or a whole new government policy.
I think it’s hilarious seeing rishi et al thinking nfts are going to be a big thing.
… But the only way they work (without someone changing your paid for link to goatse) are with an immutable distributed filesystem e.g. ipfs. And even then, the real value is quite limited.
Zero chance of that becoming mainstream.
I’m no expert on crypto and know about as much as I read on headlines.
But I seem to see a lot of stuff at the moment about crypto investors losing a lot of money
