If we really want to reduce the amount we are paying refugees – why not just give them a job?
We already have a substantial amount of immigration we could reduce in order to accommodate refugees.
Why does it have to be this humanitarian crisis where we are paying millions to monitor them and try to fly them to Africa when they could be a positive to society?

I don’t get this at all. Refugees aren’t under a curfew or restricted from going places anyone else can are they? If they want to disappear into the black economy they simply cut the tag off? Its not going to deter anyone from seeking asylum/migrating. Its not even going to be particularly humiliating nobodies going to notice it.

We have a problem with people going missing during the asylum claim process, becoming illegal and undocumented immigrants. Given that this will be removed if their claim is approved and help authorities find them if it’s denied, this seems perfectly reasonable.
I expect those who support open door policies and see no issue with allowing entrance to the country to go unchecked will condemn this though.
