Food from around the world! Today’s meal is from Ireland

  1. Am I the only person who despises it? I’ve hated it since I was a kid and now as an adult I hate it even more because I was forced to eat it or I wouldn’t “be getting anything else for the rest of the night”

  2. I’m not a big fan of irish stew but that looks very nice. My mum makes a steak n kidney stew with suet dumplings n itsl out of this world(eating it the day after is even better)

  3. I made a stew once and it was really acidic. Had to add baking soda to calm it down but anyone know how to avoid acidity?

  4. I weirdly have never seen this. Around my family people make “beef braised in Guinness” with the same ingredients but it’s thick and you spoon it out over spuds.

  5. Irish stew is basically curry without the nice spices and flavour, most countries have a version of it, ours is pretty bland due to the lack of exotic herbs and spices available.

If I were to make it I’d throw in some extra ingredients and it’d probably end up like a curry and be delicious.
