DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – President Donald Trump speaking at a telephone town hall for U.S. Senate candidate Barry Moore tonight, ahead of Tuesday’s primary.
Moore’s campaign announced the tele-rally in a statement.
“Our campaign is finishing strong, and there’s no better way to close than how it all began: standing with President Trump,” Moore said.
Moore is in a crowded primary, with six candidates competing for two spots in a runoff. Along with Moore, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall and former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson are among the contenders polls show are leading the pack.
The campaign said “hundreds of thousands of Alabamians” are expected to join the call. Earlier this month, Trump called Moore “a fantastic guy and a totally reliable MAGA warrior,” according to the statement.
Voters can call 833-746-0072 at 7 p.m. CT to listen.
