Looks like we are in danger of going back to the 70’s when the unions held the country to ransom.
Do it! It is clear unions need to ramp up and force negotiations, this government is trying to undermine workers and make the public cover the bill they created paying their friends while we yet again bail out and protect the rich.
I don’t want my depressing existence interfered with but I’d rather it was than to let it all get worse and the Tories continue to undo decades of prosperity.
Again, unions, I thank you for my additional work from home days and the early finish and pub much they’ll inevitably bring.
Please can you all coordinate so you cause the same problem on different days, so we can all enjoy a nice hot summer?
Buses are already on strike up North so it’s likely to happen
Pay no danegeld. Build trams. Prosecute strikers.
Bold of you to think it’s just gonna be the buses.
Whilst I don’t live in London and would hate to suffer resultant inconvenience myself… Fucking go for it!
Even if I get caught in the crossfire I can’t hold anyone back for fighting for their rights. Everyone should be able to negotiate though in most positions the “negotiation” is all one sided. I hope they can loosen their chains if not break them and make this stinking poorly regulated labour market a bit better for us all.
Damn these union barons and their nefarious… *checks notes* …demands for better pay and working conditions. They clearly won’t stop until we’re a third-world country.
Another politically motivated strike. When I was a union rep I ended up leaving as the unions are hellbent on causing as much disruption and chaos as possible when there is a conservative government. The one i was in wanted to deliberately disrupt the NHS for political reasons because of their far left agenda and hatred of the conservatives. When I said what they were proposing would probably cost thousands of lives they openly admitted that people dying was worth it if it achieved their political aims. After than and numerous other things I learned including about how unions collaborate in this “cause” I now cant see unions as anything other than far left extremists who will disrupt everyday life purely to achieve their political aims which were their top priority.
And just for info when I asked about under the last Labour government they said they would have loved to strike then but as it 2was the best available option” they didnt take any industrial action then.
Every one of our national services are being pummeled into the ground by greed and corner cutting. Pay the people properly for their work in line with the current economy and we will all be good. Fund your services for them to work and stop skimming increasing amounts from the top to pocket.
