Communal Democracy Party (TDP), Communal Liberation Party (TKP), United Cyprus Party (BKP), New Cyprus Party (YKP) and Left Movement made a joint press statement, emphasizing their determination for political unity.
In the joint statement read by TDP Chairman Mine Atlı, it was claimed that the will of the Turkish Cypriots, who were crushed by economic difficulties, had been ignored for a long time and there were interventions in democracy.
In the statement, it was noted that the Turkish Cypriots are in a struggle for existence, and it was claimed that the cooperation protocol signed between the TR and the TRNC threatened the existence of the Turkish Cypriots, and the Penalty Amendment Bill aimed to ensure that no voice would be heard.
In the statement, in which it was stated that Turkish Cypriots were cut off from production and increasingly impoverished, it was stated that “Immigration is now on the agenda of every Turkish Cypriot youth”.
Emphasizing that the TDP, TKP, BKP, YKP and Left Movement are determined to establish political unity regardless of their differences, the statement said, “We are together. As in every important struggle, we stand side by side in this struggle. We will not allow the AK Party government or any other government to destroy us. Leave our workers, intellectuals and us alone, get your hands off us. You cannot consume us. We will win, you will lose”.

Are you surprised Turkish Cypriots don’t like the Turkish government? I can assure you the Turkish government has done us more harm than the war itself.
And now all these fractions they should just give themselves a push and unite. Who needs hundred tiny parties who are talking a lot but have no chance of being noticed ever, even more so in a hostile environment such as TRNC politics.
