  1. Hey you found Peter. He doesn’t pay rent but he kills insects so I let him live at my place.

    He left me though…

  2. It looks to me like a ground dwelling spider. If it’s a [Spanish/Gibraltar funnel web spider](https://inaturalist-open-data.s3.amazonaws.com/photos/12180682/original.jpg) (which has been spotted in surrounding countries, including Switzerland) then it might be protected and illegal to kill (EU Habitats Directive *not sure about CH). One recently made the [news in France](https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexledsom/2020/11/10/french-couple-locked-down-with-huge-rare-spider-struggling-to-remove-it/?sh=3a1a14662f70). Does it have visible [spinnerettes](https://media.istockphoto.com/vectors/external-anatomy-of-a-spider-on-white-background-vector-id1293562973?k=20&m=1293562973&s=612×612&w=0&h=txL0Kdnmrl0rX3eRusrEW_w0WRlmcH2lG43YkgGhoWY=)?

  3. I’ve never seen a spider that big in Switzerland before…do you live high on the mountains or something? But anyways, i think it is a trapdoor spider

  4. I can’t believe how many people don’t realize that the photo is zoomed in a lot, and the spider is actually tiny… Like it’s certainly not a fkn Tarantula -.-

  5. Ive never seen a spider like this one in Switzerland, for sure poisen, maybe they escaped by a collecter, happens every year several times, also with snakes. Kill it! Or call the vet. for exotic animals.

  6. Its your decision, but call at least a vet. the best you ask in the zoo and tell them what you found. They will come and remove it for free. Be careful, if they are poison and bite you, you got to run in the next ER. And you got to bring the spider too, dead or alive, cause just so they know which anti toxic you need. Good luck. I would also go to the airport and fly to Alaska. 🤣

  7. species is the spider kong, you can spot it by the gorilla face on his butt, they are very small and not very dangerous for men, but they are known to jump in women’s ears to lay eggs for their babies.

  8. As an arachnophobe, this is disgusting and terrifying.

I’d take out the flamethrower, then pack my bags and move to Finland.

How are you able to fall asleep at night?
