  2. Typical apathy in this day and age. “I was only collecting the rent for the owner”. The court did apparently not bother fact checking that, the garda didn’t, the prosecutors didn’t. A meaningless 400 euro “fine” and back into the hamster wheel with the lot of you.

  4. It shows that the PRBT have no power at all if they let this guy off the hook. He must be raking in money if he is getting 6 times 400pm from each room. He is essentially running illegal hostels.

  5. I’d be curious about the jurisdiction of the RTB to hear this case.

    One major issue with dodgy landlords is that most of what they rent out wouldn’t legally be classifiable as a tenancy, so the RTB would be ousted of jurisdiction.
