A tragedy, hopefully some good might come of it if it makes one parent say “NO” when one of their kids pesters them for a bike and so prevent another incident like this.
I’ll point a finger of blame at the police here as well as I doubt this is the first time bikes like these have been used in this park. Chances are they’ll have had many call-outs about the use of scramblers but they did nothing.
I had to Google ‘scrambler bike’, it looks like it’s some type of motorcycle? That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.
