Roads surrounding Vice President JD Vance’s home in East Walnut Hills will be closed for several days leading up to and through Memorial Day, according to city officials.

The road closures will start in the afternoon Friday, May 22, and last through the morning of Monday, May 25, officials said in a news release.

City spokesperson Molly Lair could not confirm whether the closures are due to Vance being in town.

The closures will include the following roads and sidewalks:

William Howard Taft Road between 1905 William Howard Taft Road and East McMillan Street.

Collins Avenue between William Howard Taft Road and the underside of the U.S. Route 50/Columbia Parkway overpass.

Taft Road Lane and Heatherhill Lane.

Residents who live in the area where roads are closed or delivery or commercial services will be able to access the neighborhood through any of the three security checkpoints:

William Howard Taft Road and Torrence Parkway.

William Howard Taft Road and East McMillan Street.

A pedestrian-only entry on Collins Avenue and Gladstone Avenue.

City officials encourage drivers to use Torrence Parkway, Madison Road, and Woodburn Avenue as a detour while the closures are in place.

“Please factor in extra time when traveling as a result of these security measures,” the release states.
