High End 2026 in Vienna will see the return of the Livebox, originally introduced in Munich in 2017, as a fully integrated crosstalk cancellation speaker. The result of many years of work combining all the possibilities of modern digital processing technology and electroacoustic design, the 2026 Livebox project is a joint effort between Weiss Engineering, PSI Audio, and Illusonic. The new updated design promises to deliver “the goosebumps of a great live performance in the listening and living rooms at home.”
At the High End 2026 show in Vienna, Austria, Livebox will present its new one-box sound experience, expanding from years of research and cooperation between the three leading Swiss audio companies. Weiss Engineering, the digital audio pioneer revered by discerning listeners around the world, PSI Audio, famous for its accurate speakers and studio monitors, and Illusonic, providing audio signal processing developments in the fields of psychoacoustics and human perception to manufacturers for 20 years. This expertise combines to form Livebox, a fully integrated one-box music system now described as both “the definitive stereo sound experience,” and an immersive music system that brings sound to life with its innovative True Ambience technology.”
“Livebox creates a soundstage that extends far beyond the enclosure itself, enveloping the listener in the sound it reproduces. An entirely new way of experiencing music, utilizing the innovative True Ambience technology to create a stereo image like no other – impressively wide, outstandingly detailed, breathtakingly immersive,” the announcement describes.
The design still operates on the principle of crosstalk cancellation: sound from the right speakers is cancelled for the left ear and vice versa. While the technology is very complex and based on the combination of intricate digital electronics, speaker design, and precisely honed algorithms, the Livebox remains very simple for the listener: one box, everything included. The result is an authentic, live-like performance, caught and transferred into the living room.

To perfectly integrate Livebox into any space, the full system enclosure can be painted almost any color, allowing it to visually disappear or stand out, depending on personal preference.

Visitors of High End 2026 in Vienna (June 4-7) will be able to experience and enjoy the results of Livebox and the magic of True Ambience. Demonstrations will take place at the Livebox at Weiss Engineering, Level 1, 1.70, at the Austria Center Vienna.
