Hello! I’m intrugued by the vocal technique in this song, paired with the classy car and obviously very drunk people in the background. 😀 What is this genre of music called? (sorry for English, I don’t speak Romanian)

  1. Aah, it is complicated if you do not know romanian. You need to grow up here to fully understand this song :))

  2. It is called “muzica populara” (folkloric music). The song is typical for the South West Transylvania region but the singer is pretty average. in Romania, regional folkloric music sounds different for each part of the country.

Same region, better artist, late Lucretia Ciobanu: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIgvzj7Z_5s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIgvzj7Z_5s)

  3. >very drunk people in the background

Pentru multi folclor inseamna doar sa faci indigestie si sa bei pana te pisi pe tine…

  4. It’s called traditional Manele, where a man or a woman sing about his life and his girlfriend who don’t want to be with him or something else, just a bunch o emotional word without any sens.
